what is a good starter book for auto repair.?
Hello. I am looking for a starter book in auto repair. I know how to change oil, spark plugs, the basics, but I would like to know how cars work, ignition system, combustion,electrical system, and being able to perfom small repairs. I would like to learn this as a hobby. any good book that isn’t as basic as “auto repair for dummies” and is a good reference for the future? thanks
Buy a pile of $hit car with a blown head gasket and a repair manual for it.
Replace the head gasket.
You learn a lot more from doing, than reading about it.
