auto repair codes
Why does my service engine soon light comes on?

I recently asked this question and some good suggestions and a couple of suggestions is not worth worth my time. I bring my car to Auto Zone to the scan code. Auto Zone, here anyway, do not pull the trouble code in vehicles more than 93. So I looked in my repair manual Hayne. I had the opportunity to make the code myself. There is an electrical connector called the Line Mounting data link [ALDL] located under the dash on the driver's side. I used a piece of speaker wire and pushed one end of the test terminal diagnostic [B] and the other end into the ground terminal [A]. Started the engine and the dash lights flickered me a trouble code 34, which was a Mass Air Flow Sensor. I purchased the $ 64.00 part and my car runs great! Hope this might help some of you who are having the same problem!

If the area could not extract the codes Auto on cars before 1993, then take the car with them again. Be careful to read the codes that code is only a reference, you got lucky when you replaced the MAF, but the code does not always mean the item is defective, it means that the sensor has detected a fault condition. I've seen a lot of people change oxygen sensors in this way only to be disappointed in spending when they realize the problem dosn't disappear.
