where is the shift solenoid mustang 1997?
Automatic transmission. Do not move outside the park. Brake lights work. Tried the trick on the wiki on the order in which they turn key, etc., do not move outside the park. That is not what is commonly known as a "change" solenoid. That would be on or in the trans if it is a model electronic shift. It's called something like a "lock" solenoid. Must be located under the console at the bottom of the shifter. Many cars also have a panel so you can access without going through it (each time you need to change the park), so you do not have to pay for a trailer to get to the mechanics.
